INFO
Hey! Here’s a card flourish tutorial that details one of the most powerful card flourishes ever created; the Spring.
This Virtuoso card flourish tutorial outlines every detail needed to perform the Spring; the exact grip, the pressure required to spring the cards, the grip needed to receive the cards, the sound to listen out for, the method to make it crazy long whilst keeping it clean, and even how to ‘drag’ a spring to ’slow-mo’ it in realtime.
So, whether or not you’ve learnt the “spring” card flourish before, take a look at our take on this one, cause you just might pick up something new. ;)

Stay tuned!

when i do the spring some of the cards flip over what am i doing wrong?
Hey that awesome ,i like the way you act, very funny, and cool ,too.
Hope you show us more stuff guy.
Hey, I tried it but it is difficult. I have two Card Decks at home. And one need more pressure than the other. The second thing is that it looks like your fingers are very long. The receiving of the cards also is very diffiicult for me ^^. I´ll go on practising.
how do you do the thing in 0:24 sec?
hey,good job!
u r a good guy!
Wow! It’s hard but awesome. I still can’t keep it clean when i extend it.
You must show us more.
Hey you guys!
Just want to know what cards you recommend?
I have been using bicycle cards, but if theres something better please let me know.
Thanks!
Bikes are fine for regular handling, though if you want something more durable and dynamic, we’d definitely recommend (Circle Back) Tally-Ho playing cards, also from the US Playing Card Company.
And if you’re feeling really adventurous, you can perhaps try using a pack of non air-cushioned Aladdin 1001s. But only if you’re manly enough ;)

Nice..!
Did not know they made Alladins any more.
Thanks
Well wat can i say…. GREATZ!!!! tat was totally awesome!! KEEP IT UP
WAY better den i expected!
thanks guys, but i have a slight problem receiving it cause my fingers are a bit short…..but i’ll keep practicing…
where can i buy really good cards. would walmart or some store have them. i cant buy them online.
If I can recall, if you live in the U.S. places like Sam’s Club and Costco sell bricks of Bicycle decks for really cheap prices. If you’re looking for more flourish-specific decks like Tally-Ho’s, though, your best bet in a non-online situation is to scout out a local magic shop, as they’re the ones that are mostly likely to carry those cards, among others.

what about if i lived in australia?
how can u shot the card…..???
i mean to aim it……
i always wrong about that one……..
wel gd beter thn expert village
i get the idea of it now, but should i be using vegas cards? They seem too slippery and also isnt good for any fanning for me. Since i’m a beginner maybe its just me, but if not, should i purchase tally-ho, or something not as “flangy” like the vegas?
If you’re referring to those ‘Vegas’ cards that have a Bee-like pattern on the back with two huge “V”s on them, then we wouldn’t really recommend them over a standard USPSCC deck, though that’s certainly not to say they’re absolutely unusable in any way.
But yeah, if you can, try starting out with either a Tally-Ho deck, or even a plain pack of Bikes. They’re well suited enough for most flourishes, which is good especially if you’re just starting out.

alright thanks then, found a perfect site to purchase those 2
hey guys, i’m from brazil, and i wanna say that i love this fascinating art, and you guys had an excelent idea of making this great website
i would like to know when you are going to post another tutorial…i’ve just learned the Spring and i’m very hungry to learn another card flourish
good work, its fun learning card flourishes keep it up
nice vids, now i know how 2 do this trick,
but i’ve been wondering what type of card u’re using? and from a vids i’ve seen, they say that they would prefer 2 use an old card than a new card, cause it’s hard to bend, is it affect ?
sorry im still an amateur, wish i could learn more from u’re vids,
thx
Amazing stuff guys, how do you avoid bending the cards? maybe its my grip but by the end of it my thumb KILLS and my cards are all bentt! :S
You have to use plastic cards to do The Spring, you can’t use an ordinary paper-made card deck, they’re way to easy to get bent, plus, when u use really, really old paper decks, it’s going to hurt your thumb a lot, so DON’T use a paper deck.
You could use bicycle cards, they’re very good for almost every card trick. And doesn’t get bent easily.
I hope that my suggestion works!=)
i try to do spring for long long time and now i know a key to do this trick
How do you REALLY extend your Spring? Cause when ever I try to make it longer (really longer, not dragging it) I always end up with a lot of cards on the ground.
And could u please tell me how to Spring the cards sideways, and from the bottom to the top? Cause Ive alredy mastered a small Spring, but nothing else, so I really need to know how to do it longer plus sideways. Thanks! =)
I also forgot to ask you. You can bend your top half of the thumb half way back right? But I can’t, so I sometimes end up with a small pack of cards left on my hand, and I tried adjusting it more to my finger tips, but instead a small clump of cards fall first. So could u give me advice on how to do a real clean Spring like u? But without having to bend my thumb back(which I can’t do)
Great tutorial. Sadly I’ve always did a card spring by releasing it with my index middle and ring finger so its gonna take practice releasing it with my thumb.
=(
Hey guys why dont you releas your own type of deck to buy on the virts website because you are always getting asked what are the best cards.
BTW can you put a tutorial for the old Anakonda spring?
Hi… Just signed up today… found your Gambit trailer. +1 for that!
Seen some comments about “new tutorials coming soon”… any idea on when “soon” is? :)
I’m having a lot of trouble actually catching the cards, is being white a major stumbling block to learning tricks like this?
How long did it take you guys to learn The Spring total peferct like in the video??
the song to ’start the video ??????
Now I see what I was doing wrong. Thank you. This was a great tutorial. I also like your flicker tutorial, but I didn’t see this little comment box at the bottom. So, my fault. Sorry. I also like your accent. It kind of makes me laugh. It’s like a mix of Asian and Australian. I like it. Don’t take it to offense, though. But you look kinda Pinoy. I’m Pinoy! Are you a Pinoy Boy? Sorry for that question.

How do you do the thing at 00:24?????????
I can do the spring but 2 things: My hands are kinda small, so the cards dont really fall in but rather fall off! and How do i straighten my thumb because im bending the cards with the thumb to make them fall? Plz Replly
