I’d like to teach you one of my signature card flourishes.
It’s a one card twirl called “Flicker”.
When Flicker and Firefly was released in our 2007 video “Style“, it started a whole trend of one and two card flourishes and variations of what was in that video.
That trend has since developed into an entire genre of its own, and now more than ever, we are receiving countless emails from people requesting to learn our original work on the subject.
After much discussion, we decided to head to the studio to create a tutorial detailing both the technical aspect of the flourish, as well as the stylistic and dynamic aspect of performing the flourish.
Flicker is definitely one of my most treasured and favorite card flourishes because of how beautiful it looks and how versatile it is in its application… so learn it well, play with it, and continue developing your own ideas for this little baby of mine.

Is there any way to download this video to put on your ipod or something? like to practice when going on trips.
Awesome Flourish
What I use is Yomea Youtube/FLV downloader (of course you can use other video downloaders but I like this one)
The best results is when I set it to Automatic Hook, everytime it detects you playing a video it prompts to give you the opportunity to either ignore/store the link/or download the video

Hey, Huron – quick q!
When you release the thumb, and let the card spring in between the middle and pointer fingers – is it supposed to make any noise?
It seems to ‘clack’ quite loudly – but I can’t hear it in the video. Or perhaps the noise adds to the effect?

when ever i perform my card tricks like when i find their card or sumthing like that

I can’t seem to follow anyone else’s tutorials. However, when you teach, Huron. I seem to be able to ‘get it’ the first time.

Hey Just thought I would leave something I seem to notice about your tutorial. You seem to really love what your into and I read the death to the noobs so I definitely know you guys are devoted and I really believe that could be the success to your tutorials.
When I would show someone something I felt quite enthuastic about they would just have a happy look on their faces I feel that this is quite the same when people watch you guys not only is the music perfect but the teachings themselves are phenominal.
Here I go ranting… ugh XD anyways my main point of this comment was to tell those who were wondering; my idea of why the tutorials are so easy to follow and fun to watch even without a deck in hand is really because these guys are doing what they love and when you watch someone who is putting their all into it you feel you should A. pay attention and B. Enjoy it just as much.
All in all I’d have to say out of everyone I’ve seen things from you guys hit the head of the nail perfectly with your style of tutorials its a blast to learn not like a certain flourisher who uh taught a certain one hand cut sometime after the ahem “revolution” :P (Did anyone get that one?) (also not to put him down cause damn is he good).
Well keep up the good work I’m about to sit back with some friends and session just thought I’d leave my 2 cents on the tutorials from an awesome/epic/just down right badass group of individuals… Virtuoso.

After WLD, we basically decided to upgrade our entire studio, throw all our footage away, and start from scratch… because we realized that we can do a lot better than we’re doing now, and give stuff that you guys would love even more.
Now we’re basically going through a re-planning and re-filming phase… so whilst it might seem quiet, rest assured that we’re working very hard. =)

I got it in first few tries… ITS AWESOME! It looked like a difficult flourish but its easy… Its all about breaking your wrist :P When will the Firefly come out?
Firefly will definitely be in one of our future projects, in all its glory. I can’t say much about it now, other than that it will definitely be worth the wait ;)
