Hey guys, Huron here, and it’s great to see that you’re in.
To start things off, we are going to post Gambit back up. It’ll be up on Vimeo in a few hours, but before we do that, here’s what you need to know.
For as long as we remember, we’ve been thinking of a way to spread and share the art with the rest of the world in a way that anybody can instantly relate to and appreciate.
For us, Gambit is the answer.
To us, the video represents everything we’ve ever tried to convey as card flourishers… which is character, style, technique, and presentation… plus it really sucks to see that something that we put so much effort into just get taken down in a matter of three hours.
It feels like one of the best ideas we ever had for the art just got shot down from the sky the second it took flight.
We really want to spread the art and share it with the rest of the world… but we can’t do that alone. We need your help.
This is the plan.
In a few hours we’ll be posting the video on Vimeo, then we’ll be making a post on it at Digg.com.
For those of you who don’t know what Digg is… it’s a kickass site which has posts of the latest awesome things happening around the world.
The craziest part?
Digg gets an average of 27.9 million visitors globally per month.
That’s 930,000 visitors a day.
You can probably see what we’re getting at.
Posts get on the front page if they get enough votes. These votes are called “diggs’.
Our goal, is to get Gambit a few hundred diggs really quickly so the world will take notice of our art…at least before Marvel takes our video back down.
Here’s how to be a part of this.
- Get an account on digg. It only takes you about a minute, plus you’ll love the site.
- Refresh this page and click the orange ‘digg’ sign at the top of the post when the countdown timer hits zero.
And that’s it!
Stuff comes and goes on digg very very quickly, and that’s why we need to get our diggs in within a very short period of time if we want the world to know about our art… fast. ;)
Here’s a worldclock converter so you know what time that is in your part of the globe if you’d like to be a part of this project.
The time to Digg the video is Tuesday, 23rd June, 11am PST (Click here for World Clock Converter), or of course, you can always refer to the countdown at the top.

Wow, I am looking forward!
Just an idea, I know you are trying to coin the art form by using a relational contact to the character of x-men known as Gambit but why try to abuse the system your video will be removed just as quick as last time if not quicker, how about doing it slightly differently.
I know none of you know me but I’m quite a well educated internet marketer, designer and developer I’m the guy behind the 3C the original designer who made the first popular version of the site and the person who got it to a google number one without spending a penny whilst also out doing every other site that had been using those keywords.
You have two really good options to broadcast this in such a way that the producers will not be able to take it down.
1st – Upload the video to a file host link it here so all your members can download it and then upload it to every possible video host under as many variations of the name as possible thus creating around 1000 videos if just 250 people upload it to youtube, mega video, vimeo and of course google video.
2nd – Dont name the video gambit but instead name it something different and make a comment in the description that the video was inspired by the character (perfectly legal and they cannot take it down as you infringe nothing by saying inspired by) then get all your users to then make comments on that video about him looking like gambit being a better handler than gambit and so on and so forth.
Both ways will ensure maximum exposuer to search engines and both will make it almost impossible for the producers to take it down.
Still that my 2 pence on the subject (I’m for uk we dont have cents) take my advice or ignore it makes no difference to me but think about it and I’m sure you will agree my method is better and you can still digg it to get it on front page of digg to.
